I am always trying to improve my craft. In June 2024, I decided that the next art form that I wanted to improve, was my watercolor.

“You are my Sunshine”

I created this using Windsor and Newton Watercolor paint. This July, my mom celebrated her 60th birthday. This was my gift to her.

“Bright Star”

Created in 2023, This is the longest form project out of my entire portfolio. This 11×14 piece is watercolored using archive quality paint, then embroidered using DNC silk embroidery floss. This was a labor of love.

Hendrys Beach

Hendry’s beach is a stunning beach and restaurant in Santa Barbara. Learn more below!

Jasmine and Jade

This was the first page in my June watercolor sketchbook. During the summer I can sit outside for hours painting.

Point Dume Beach

Point Dume Beach is one of my favorite spots in all of Southern California.

Aperol Spritz

When I am sitting on a patio with an Aperol Spritz in my hand, I know that summer has arrived! I created this piece using mixed-media: watercolor, colored pencils and a white Posca acrylic paint marker.
Learn how to make one with my favorite recipe below!

But Wait. There’s More!
Look at my drawings (and doodles too)!

It’s never ending.

Down with the Ship

I created this drawing using prismacolor colored pencil and white-out to create the sea foam.

Mushroom Maids

Something about mushroom caps remind me of Victorian women’s hats.

Pencil Portrait

At the beginning of 2023, I decided I was going to draw a head a day to improve my ability to draw anatomy. Well, that project didn’t last, but I definitely got better! Practice makes perfect!

Cardinals

If you know me in person, you probably have glimpsed my obsession with birds. Birds are my go-to doodle subject. These little guys are red cardinals.

Crow

This crow was created using oil pastels. I like being able to blend and smudge and layer the oil. The texture that the median provides is so much fun to work!

Still Life

This still life drawing was done with white prismacolor color pencil and vine charcoal.
